Don't look for Volkswagen Group to enter Formula One racing, says Chairman-elect Bernd Pischetsrieder, denying reports that the automaker has purchased the bankrupt Alain Prost team. "Absolute nonsense," he said of the report, although he said that Prost had offered his team to Volkswagen within the last year. "It didn't make sense then," he said. "It doesn't make sense now." Pischetsrieder said a successful F1 program costs about $220 million a season.
