Ford Division has made minor changes in its new-vehicle rebates, and Toyota Division is offering dealers and customers a grab bag full of incentives for March.
Ford raised the cash back on the 2002 Focus and Mustang V-6 to $1,500 from $1,000 and cut the payout on the 2002 Explorer four-door from $2,000 to $1,500.
Toyota is playing multiple choice - a dealer rebate or a choice of customer rebates. The choice is made by regional management.
On the 4Runner, for example, the options are $1,350 dealer cash, $1,000 buyer cash plus $250 dealer cash, or $1,000 to the buyer with a lower financing rate. Toyota's program covers the 2001 and 2002 Corolla, Camry Solara (except convertible), Tundra, 4Runner and Sienna.
Ford's incentives expire April 8; Toyota's April 1.
