General Motors has appointed Jeffrey Kimpan as general director, Human Re-sources - Manufac-turing and Labor Relations. He had been regional director, Human Resources and Communications, for Latin America, Africa & Mid East.
Kimpan replaces Michael Zemmin, who retired after more than 37 years.
GM also named Shawn Pallagi as Kimpan's replacement. Pallagi had been director, Labor Relations for the former GM Truck Group.
Kimpan first worked at Delphi Packard Electric, where he became personnel director for Packard's Mexican Operations in 1985. Kimpan also held positions with Executive Compensation, Automotive Components Group headquarters and Delphi Saginaw before his Latin America post.
Pallagi held salaried and labor positions at Delphi Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio, including director, industrial relations, and personnel director, Mexico East Operations. Pallagi began his career with General Motors at AC Spark Plug in Flint, Michigan.
