Covisint has named two chief executives. One will oversee global operations, while the other will lead in Europe.
Kevin English, 48, has been named Co-visint CEO. English was previously CEO, e-commerce, for Credit Suisse First Boston.
Lars Olrik, 39, is the managing director for Europe. He was vice president of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young U.K.
Both positions are new. English will be based at Covisint's headquarters in Southfield, Mich., a Detroit suburb. Olrik will work in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Before joining Credit Suisse First Boston in 1999, English was CEO for TheStreet.com, a publicly traded Internet information hub for financial market news and analysis. He also had been vice president and general manager of Nexis Enterprise Group.
'Training and retention of our customers is what's most important to me now,' he says. Other priorities: Product development and adding tools on the Covisint Web site.
Olrik has a range of experience in industries such as banking, energy, consumer goods, logistics and transportation. Olrik received his degree in economics from the University of Denmark in Copenhagen. He is a native of that country.
'Lars Olrik's appointment will help Covisint Europe move swiftly to engage our European customers and prospects,' says Peter Weiss, executive vice president of international operations for Covisint.
Covisint is a global e-business purchasing network for the automotive industry.
