M-B dealers to sue
Mercedes-Benz dealers in the UK have voted to sue DaimlerChrysler over its decision to terminate their franchises in a year's time. D/C wants to take control of its Mercedes network in the UK.
Nick Adams, representing the Mercedes-Benz dealers and owner of a dealership in Bath, England, said about 100 owners meeting in Birmingham last week agreed unanimously to file suit at high court in London this week. All of the more than 150 Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the UK are controlled by about 100 owners. Adams said only a small number of dealerships are not participating in the legal action.
