DETROIT - General Motors has added Chevrolet and GMC trucks to its March price increase, and Ford Motor Co. is boosting the stickers on all Ford cars and Windstar minivans.
General Motors' across-the-board price bumps on cars were listed in the March 19 issue of Automotive News.
The Chevy and GMC hikes were $100 on the S10 and Sonoma compact pickups; $65 on most Chevy Silverado and all GMC Sierra pickups; $50 on the GMC Yukon XL; $200 on the Yukon Denali; $100 on the Chevy Tracker sport-utility; and $100 on the Chevy Astro and Express and GMC Safari and Savana vans.
Ford seems addicted to $95. Twenty of its 23 2001 car models rose by that amount.
Last December, 22 of 23 went up $95.
