Here we are at the end of another NADA convention.
Monday morning we saw well-known dealer lawyers Loula Fuller and her husband/partner, Dan Myers, quick-stepping through the convention center on their way to find out what happened at the Olds make meeting. They had a written invitation, but missed the meeting because of some confusion about the 8:30 a.m. starting time. Said Dan: "I thought it started at 11." Bet they've been busy this week.
Former Saab Cars USA boss Bob Sinclair and his wife, Ann, will be busy, too. They're planning a five-week bird-watching trip to Costa Rica. Bob gave Ann three transportation options: motorcycle, airplane or 4x4 pickup. Ann chose the pickup. Too bad they don't make a comfy 4x4 9-5 south of the border. Said Bob, who retired from Saab 10 years ago: "Time sure flies when you're having fun, and I am having fun."
Speaking of having fun, Wall Street deal maker Sheldon Sandler of Bel-Air Partners has taken a side road to have a little fun. Car guy Sheldon was beaming because he's going to do product reviews on theautochan"nel.com.
Hey, Sheldon: It's not as easy as it looks. But that's just between us.
