Be careful out there.
One of our favorite tipsters tells us that Gerd Klauss appeared properly amazed and bedazzled at "O" at Bellagio Friday night. The Volkswagen of America boss attended the early performance of Cirque du Soleil's bizarre aquatic show, which takes place in, on and around a 1.5 million gallon pool.
Speaking of shows, catch dealer Marion Luna Brem, CEO of Love Chrysler Inc. in Corpus Christi, Texas, on "Oprah" and "Larry King Live" when her book debuts in August. Published by Penguin Putnam Publishers Inc., the book is titled The Seven Truths About Highly Successful Women. Brem qualifies. In 1984, as a single mother of two young sons who was fighting breast cancer, Brem got a job in sales at a dealership. Within five years, she bought her first dealership. Since then, she has added a second dealership, an ad agency and a real estate holding company. Wow.
In the brotherhood award category, dealer relations specialist Joe Hilger of the Chrysler group gets a tip of the hat. After Friday night's industry fete at Bellagio, Joe was spied giving crosstown rival Edsel Ford a lift back to the Paris.
Remember, it's just between us.
