Could it be first and 10 for ex-General Motors ad boss Phil Guarascio?
Two publishing sources close to Guarascio independently confirm that he is considering a deal to do marketing for the National Football League.
Guarascio, who underwent triple bypass heart surgery this year and left GM on May 1, did not return several telephone calls. The sources say he would likely work as a consultant, setting up franchises overseas and overseeing marketing plans to get fans to games. Guarascio also was asked to look at running a group made up of Interpublic Group's entertainment and promotional agencies. The sources say he is less interested in the Interpublic offer because of the time commitment required.
