Autodaq Corp. has raised another $33 million from venture capitalists.
Among the investors: Clayton Venture Group, the venture capital arm of Enterprise Rent-A-Car of St. Louis.
Enterprise spokeswoman Christy Conrad said the companies are working on a pilot program involving Autodaq, a Menlo Park, Calif., wholesale used-car auction firm, selling Enterprise's retired rental cars. She declined to give additional details.
This is Autodaq's second round of financing since it was formed in July 1999.
Other investors are Madison Dearborn Partners Inc., August Capital and Zilkha Ventures.
Autodaq conducts online auto auctions for clients wanting to dispose of off-lease/fleet vehicles. The company created the infrastructure and Internet technology for Hyundai Exclusive Online, an Internet auction service that allows Hyundai dealers to shop for retired rental vehicles 24 hours a day.
The company also has a finance division that will underwrite loans online.
