On Friday, April 14, six top West Coast executives will gather at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles for a provocative 'Meet the Press'-style question-and-answer session sponsored by Automotive News' Automotive Marketer and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The event's theme is 'A Brand New Strategy: Automotive Marketing and the Changing Media Landscape.'
Featured on the panel will be Richard Beattie, CEO of Mazda North American Operations; Jed Connelly, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Nissan North America Inc.; Tom Elliott, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co. Inc.; Pierre Gagnon, COO of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc.; Mark Hutchins, president of Lincoln Mercury; and Donald Esmond, general manager of Toyota Division.
Foregoing the typical Powerpoint presentations and speeches, the executives instead will be asked questions by a panel consisting of Peter Brown, executive editor and associate publisher of Automotive News; Kathy Jackson, editor of Automotive News' Automotive Marketer; and Mark Rechtin, a reporter at Automotive News.
The event begins at 11 a.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by a noon lunch and panel.
For attendees who crave more information, an optional e-business morning session will feature Herbert Tay, principal, global automotive practice at A.T. Kearney; Irving Miller, vice president, Office of the Web, at Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc.; Gary Premeaux, principal at South Bay Ford; and Mark Lorimer, CEO of Autobytel.com. It begins at 9: 30 a.m.
The cost for the luncheon presentation is $75. The e-business session is an additional $25 per person. To register, call (888) 314-5041.
