LOS ANGELES - Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc. has rotated a number of key executives into new positions and expanded the duties of several departments.
Company officials said Mitsubishi is following the human resources techniques of Toyota and Nissan more actively in rotating executives to broaden their expertise.
A newly created franchise development, dealer relations and real estate department also will focus on retail image implementation. That department will be led by John McElroy, who had been vice president of human resources and administration.
Taking McElroy's spot is Jackie DeMaria, who was director of customer relations and before that director of human resources.
The retail development department also will oversee customer relations, the company Web site, database development and the toll-free call center. That department will be led by Greg Stahl, who had been director of retail development.
Tony Romero has been promoted to vice president of human resources, a vacant post. He had been director of the same department.
Peg Dilworth-Hunt will be director of the split-off service department, which previously was combined with the parts department. Parts still will be directed by Don Swearingen.
Taking Dilworth-Hunt's post as director of marketing will be Steven Gough, who had been director of Northeast regional retail operations.
Bill Dabb, who had been Northeast regional sales manager, will take Gough's post.
