DETROIT - The Chrysler group of DaimlerChrysler has increased and broadened the customer rebates on some of its 2000 and 1999 models. The expiration date remains April 3.
On cars, the rebate on the 2000 Dodge and Plymouth Neon has been raised to $1,500 from $1,000. The 1999 Chrysler Sebring coupe now brings $2,000, up from $1,500.
Rebates on 2000 Dodge and Chrysler minivans now are $1,500, up from $1,250. There are no 2000 Plymouth minivans anymore; the Voyager and Grand Voyager now wear the Chrysler badge.
All 2000 Dodge Ram full-sized pickups now have a $1,000 rebate, up from $500.
New rebates are $750 on the 2000 Ram Wagon and Cargo Van and $1,000 on the 2000 Ram Conversion Van. Previously, they had only finance incentives.
Another newcomer is a free automatic transmission on the 2000 and 1999 six-cylinder Jeep Wrangler. Automatic drive was $625 extra.
