General Motors closed its Wilmington, Del., plant for inventory adjustment last week. The plant, which builds the Saturn LS, also was down the first three weeks in January and two days the week ending Feb. 12.
CAMI Automotive Inc. halted production last week for inventory adjustment. The Ingersoll, Ontario, plant produces the Chevrolet Metro and Tracker; Suzuki Swift, Sidekick and Vitara; and Pontiac Sunrunner and Firefly.
Ford Motor Co. increased the line speed at its Wayne, Mich., plant Jan. 10 from 65 to 74 cars an hour. The plant produces the Ford Focus.
