The 2001 Pontiac Aztek sport-utility, due out in June in California, is touring the country this month as part of a national fitness contest by Nike Inc. called NikeTown Fitness 2000. The new vehicle so far has appeared at NikeTown stores in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, along with Olympians Carl Lewis, left, and Suzy Hamilton, center, and New York Jets quarterback Ray Lucas (not pictured). Nike will award points to contestants who meet their personal fitness goals. Four winners will receive a new Aztek, a sport-utility based on General Motors' Venture minivan platform. 'The Aztek is made for the intellectually and physically active, adventurous individual, the kind of customer that is drawn to NikeTown and the Fitness 2000 program,' said Aztek Brand Manager Don Butler, right.
