Mark Escude of the Mark Escude Automotive Group in Jackson, Miss., which includes five dealerships, received the Alvis Hunt Humanitarian Award during the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at Jackson State University in Jackson. He was cited for his community service, including involvement with the American Cancer Society, the Top Cop program, the Boy Scouts of America, 100 Black Men, the Soup Kitchen of Jackson, the Adopt an Angel program and the Jackson Blood Bank.
