BOCA RATON, Fla. - Gerrit Baker, 96, founder of two Gary, Ind., General Motors dealerships, died Nov. 5. He began Baker Townsend Pontiac in 1945 and a decade later started Baker Chevrolet, which he owned until he retired in 1969.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Warren Lattof, who operated Lattof Chevrolet here, died Nov. 17. He was 65. His father, Nicholas Lattof, opened the dealership in 1936, and Warren joined the business after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1955. His son, Allen, succeeds him as president.
