DETROIT - Toyota, Subaru and Hyundai have new incentive programs. Toyota's is for dealers; Hyundai's is for customers; and Subaru's is for dealers in some regions and customers in others.
Toyota dealers get $200 to $250 for delivering 2000 Tacoma pickups and Camry and Corolla sedans. On 1999 models, the payment is $900 on Tacomas, $250 on Corollas and $400 on Camrys. A Camry LE sedan with a V-6 engine and five-speed manual transmission brings an extra $500. The rebates end Nov. 30.
Until Nov. 30, Hyundai is paying a $750 customer rebate on Elantra cars. On 1999s, payments range from $750 to $2,000 on Accent, Elantra and Tiburon models.
Subaru's rebates are $500 to $1,000 on the 1999 Legacy and $500 to $850 on the 1999 Impreza. They are for dealers in some regions and for customers in others. The rebates are scheduled to expire Dec.30.
