DETROIT - Oldsmobile has raised prices $15 to $345 on its Alero, Intrigue, Silhouette and Bravada lines. They are the division's only 2000 models.
The largest increase was applied to the base Alero GX coupe and sedan. The lightest was on the Alero GL2 and GL3. That $15 resulted from an increase in the destination charge. The freight fee went up $25 on the Silhouette and Bravada.
The new destination charges are $550 on the Alero and Bravada and $605 on the Silhouette. The Intrigue stays at $560.
The October increase added an average of $111 to the price of a 2000 Oldsmobile, according to Automotive News. Combined with the $179 increase at introduction time, Automotive News estimates that the average price of an Oldsmobile has gone up $290 since the end of the 1999 model year.
