The Opel G-90 captured two top awards in the Automotive News International Concept Car of the Year competition.
The G-90 was named Concept Car of the Year, and also finished first in the category for environmental vehicles.
More than 50 concepts were eligible for the awards, given in four categories. Award eligibility dated back to the Paris show in September 1998 and embraced concepts at the major auto shows in Detroit, Geneva and Frankfurt, as well as events in Los Angeles, Seoul and Barcelona.
Separately, the Suzuki PU3 was honored as Best of the Tokyo Motor Show.
The awards were presented last week in a ceremony at the Tokyo Motor Show.
