WASHINGTON - The Alli-ance of Automobile Manufacturers announced several appointments to staff positions. The alliance was formed in January 1999 to serve as a leading advocacy group for the automobile industry on public policy matters.
New staff members, listed by department, are:
Environmental Affairs - Gregory Dana, vice president. He was vice president and technical director for the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers. His department includes Robert Babik, director of environment programs, and Steven Douglas, director of environmental affairs.
Office of the General Counsel -John T. Whatley, assistant general counsel. He was assistant general counsel for the AIAM.
Denise Radinovic, legal administrative assistant. She was with the American Automobile Manufacturers Association.
The department also includes Julie Becker, assistant general counsel/environment.
Government Affairs - Katherine Horne, manager of government affairs. She was executive director of Americans for Affordable Electricity.
Scott Aliferis, manager of government affairs. He was legislative director for U.S. Rep. Fred Upton.
Sandra Facciolli, government affairs assistant. She was with AAMA.
Michael Stanton, vice president of government affairs, heads the department.
State Affairs - Kimberly Ashton, state affairs manager, She was with the American Petroleum Institute.
James Kiley, state affairs analyst. He was an associate lobbyist at the Wexler Group in Washington.
Stephanie Whitmore, state affairs assistant. She was with Sun Microsystems, Inc. in Palo Alto, Calif.
Kris Kiser, vice president of state affairs, heads the department.
