Post joins cars.com
CHICAGO - The Denver Post, Colorado's largest circulation newspaper, has joined cars.com as the automotive shopping Web site's first noninvestor affiliate. The Post launched a co-branded version of cars.com on its Web site (www.denverpost.com). Cars.com, a unit of Classified Ventures Inc., was formed by eight major newspaper chains. The company also created a national sales group to work with newspaper sales organizations.
PHOENIX - CSK Auto Corp., a retailer of auto parts, said its Cskauto.com subsidiary will be the exclusive parts supplier to Microsoft Corp.'s CarPoint Web site. CSK said it will have links to CarPoint's Personal Auto pages that will allow Web shoppers to buy repair parts, accessories and performance parts.
LAKEWOOD, Ohio - Universal Computer Sys-tems, the third largest dealer computer vendor according to the National Automobile Dealers Associaton, has formed a marketing alliance with Carfolks.com LLC, a Cleveland-based Web site provider. Carfolks will allow Universal dealers to list new and used vehicle inventory on a Web site it is developing called Carfolks.com. The Web site also will provide product information, price quotes for new vehicles and shopping tips.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Autoweb.com launched a used-car auction service as part of its Web-based shopping site. Vehicles auctioned through the site come with a 72-hour money-back guarantee, a three-month or 3,000-mile limited warranty, and a factory or dealer quality certification, Autoweb.com said. The service is free to consumers.

CINCINNATI - Dealer Specialties International Inc., a supplier of used-car window stickers, said it will share vehicle information its franchisees collect in a new joint venture with carHQ.com, a Web site operated by Advantage Integrated Marketing. Dealer Specialties also sends used-car data to its own GetAuto Web site (www.getauto.com).
