Auto dealers seeking ways to use technology to build sales and profits can get help at the 1999 Automotive News Technology Forum West in Scottsdale, Ariz., Nov. 9-10.
The event, at the Hyatt Gainey Ranch, will feature breakout sessions on customer acquisition, customer retention, information integration and e-commerce.
At the session on customer retention, panelists will discuss how dealers can use technology to keep customers by increasing the satisfaction of the shopping experience. The panelists are Lee Sage, global leader of automotive industry services at Ernst & Young; Dave Thomas, general manager of Thomas Motors Inc. of The Dalles, Ore.; and Don Warriner, CEO of Data National Corp. in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
A session on information integration will offer tips for storing and using data to generate increased profits in all aspects of the organization. The panelists are auto consultant Paul MacDonald of Hays, Kan.; Mike McFall, vice president of Internet marketing for AutoNation Inc.; and Jim Miller, chief technologist at EDS North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing.
