Cadillac's new logo, which was last redesigned in 1963, will start appearing in catalogs in September but will not be seen on vehicles until the 2002 model year. Cadillac said the new look reflects the brand's new design direction, inspired by the Evoq roadster, and technological advances. The new crest dispenses with the ducks, known as merlettes. Cadillac used an animated duck from its logo to advertise the Catera, but the bird was dropped from ads this year.
