NADA offers used-car class
EAST WINDSOR, Conn. - The National Automobile Dealers Association and the National Auto Auction Association will offer dealers a course on improving used-car departments. The sessions will be held May 10-12 at Southern Auto Auction here. The cost is $495 a person; $100 will be credited toward future purchases at a National Auto Auction Association member auction.
APCO LINKS TO CUSTOMERS
ATLANTA - Beginning in April, Automobile Protection Corp., a vehicle service contract provider, will offer dealers an online link to their customers through its Service Advisor Plus program. Customers will be able to download the program from www.autoconnect.com, a automotive retail Web site owned by Manheim Auctions Inc. and the Dealer Services Group of ADP Inc. Participating dealers, who will use the program to target customers with coupons and other offers, will pay for each download in their area.
RICHMOND, Va. - CarMax Group, the used-car retail chain, awarded 25 Chicago-area students, ages 10 to 18, $1,000 college scholarships in its 'On the Road to Your Future' essay contest. CarMax presented the scholarships at the Chicago campus of Loyola University on March 29. The students were asked to explain in 500 words or less why college is important to their future.
