LENOIR, N.C. - Tom Brooks, 83, chairman of Tom Brooks Chevrolet-Buick Inc. here, died Feb. 10. He founded Economy Chevrolet in Inman, S.C., in 1949. He sold that dealership in 1959 and started Tom Brooks Chevrolet-Buick. Brooks was active in the dealership until his death. His son, Jerry Brooks, operates the dealership.
MIAMI - Paul Haydocy, 78, co-founder and president of Haydocy Pontiac-GMC-Oldsmobile, died Feb. 23. He founded the dealership with his brother Jack in 1954.
James Riehl Sr.
DETROIT - James Riehl Sr., 69, owner of three Detroit-area dealerships, died Feb. 17. He owned Jim Riehl's Roseville Chrysler-Plymouth-Jeep in Roseville, Mich.; Jim Riehl's Friendly Jeep-Eagle in Warren, Mich.; and Jim Riehl's Roseville RV Center in Chesterfield, Mich. He operated Jim Riehl's Roseville Chrysler-Plymouth-Jeep from 1967 until his death. His son Michael Riehl operates that dealership now. Son Jim Riehl Jr. is president of Jim Riehl's Friendly Jeep-Eagle. His brother, Bob Riehl, is general manager at Jim Riehl's Roseville RV Center.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Albert Will, 85, former owner of Al Will Buick in Longmont, Colo., died Feb. 26. He became owner of the dealership in 1954 and sold it in 1978.
