Bob Mylenek of Eugene Euro Imports/Mercedes Benz in Eugene, Ore., has been elected president of the Eugene-Springfield New Car Dealers Association.
Steve Oliver, president of SKO Automotive Group in Overland Park, Kan., presented $21,050 to Wade Freeman, the director of the Kansas City, Mo., Don Bosco Centers, a nonprofit social service organization. The money was raised in a promotion at Oliver's dealerships: Steve Oliver Dodge in Overland Park, and Sunflower Dodge-Hyundai and Sunflower Mazda, both in Olathe, Kan.
Sal Porte of Totowa Dodge in Totowa, N.J., received a 50-year award from DaimlerChrysler Corp.
Harold Beck of Sturgeon and Beck Inc. in Tulare, Calif., received a 25-year award from Pontiac-GMC.

Infiniti has announced that Infiniti of Scottsdale, Ariz., is No. 1 in sales among the 145 Infiniti dealers in the United States for the third year in a row. Infiniti of Scottsdale sold 1,118 new vehicles in 1998. Infiniti of Scottsdale is owned by Larry Van Tuyl.
