NISSAN NORTH AMERICA INC. - Debra Sanchez Fair to director of corporate communications. She was corporate manager of public affairs. She will continue to oversee public affairs and serve as chief public relations counsel to Nissan's legal department.
Sanchez Fair joined Nissan in 1990 as corporate manager of Infiniti public relations. Before joining Nissan, she worked for Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. and Hill and Knowlton Public Relations.
Kurt von Zumwalt, expanded responsibilities as corporate public relations manager. He will oversee all product and consumer public relations. He was corporate manager of public affairs for Nissan Division.
VDO NORTH AMERICA LLC - Klaus Skabrond to general manager of the Commercial Vehicle Division.
He was head of research and development for instrument cluster design for the VDO Kienzle group, which is in Villingen, Germany.
VDO North America, which is in Rochester Hills, Mich., is a subsidiary of Mannesmann VDO of Germany.
It provides driver information, navigation and fuel systems and components.
INTERMET CORP. - Laurence Vine-Chatterton to president of Intermet Europe. He was finance director for T&N PLC's Piston Products Group.
Vine-Chatterton also has held finance positions with Nokia GmbH of Germany and Parkfield Group PLC of the United Kingdom. Intermet, of Troy, Mich., designs and manufactures precision iron and aluminum cast automotive components.
T&N, of the United Kingdom, recently was acquired by Federal-Mogul Corp.
GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO. - Stephanie Bergeron to vice president and treasurer. She was assistant treasurer of corporate finance for DaimlerChrysler Corp. and served on the Chrysler Fund Board of Trustees. Goodyear Tire & Rubber, of Akron, Ohio, supplies tires, rubber products and chemicals.
ASC INC. - John Nechiporchik to COO. He was president of Automobile Specialty Co.
Brian Henriksen to vice president of engineering and quality. He was vice president of quality and continuous improvement.
ASC is a specialty vehicle and products manufacturer based in Southgate, Mich.
AUTOMOTIVE CHEMICAL MANUFACTURERS COUNCIL - Dennis Swick to chairman. He is president of Penray Cos. of Wheeling, Ill.
Carole Murphy, marketing manager for Cyclo Industries LLC of Palm Beach, Fla., to vice chair.

Maurice Bowen to director of national accounts. He was director of marketing for Hyundai Motor America. Steve Sporich to director of creative services. He was vice president of the Gecko Group Inc., a marketing and consulting agency based in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Sandy Corp. provides consulting, training and communications services to automotive manufacturers. It is a unit of Automatic Data Processing Inc.
UAW - Daniel Sherrick to general counsel. He was an associate general counsel. He replaces Jordan Rossen, who retired after 34 years with the UAW.
