Select Hyundai dealerships will open Hyundai Parts Centers that stock and deliver parts to other Hyundai dealerships. The program works like this:
A dealer places a parts order via computer.
Hyundai's computer sends the order to the closest parts- warehousing dealer.
The warehousing dealer delivers the part by 3 p.m.
Hyundai's inventory computer system credits the price of the part and the handling fee to the parts-warehousing dealer and bills the dealer who placed the order. The computer system also orders parts to replenish the stock of the parts-warehousing dealer.
