DaimlerChrysler Corp. has named auto industry veteran Barry Felrice as its manager of safety affairs in Washington, D.C., effective Jan. 1.
Felrice has been director of regulatory affairs for the American Automobile Manufacturers Association since 1996. Before that, he held positions for more than 25 years at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Federal Highway Administra-tion.
In his new post, Felrice will report to Albert Slechter, regulatory affairs director, and will work closely with Daimler-Chrysler's safety team on safety and harmonization issues.
