    Cars and trucks

    GENERAL MOTORS - John Quattrone to general director of human resources for GM North America. He also will serve as a member of the GM North America Strategy Board. He was group director of human resources for GM North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing.

    Gay Tosch to group director of human resources for GM North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing. She was director of human resources there.

    VOLVO CARS OF NORTH AMERICA INC. - Jean Bae to manager of business planning and development. She was manager of product accounting in the corporate finance department.

    Russell Williams to business analyst. He was a senior financial analyst for Harsco Corp.

    Michael Ippoliti to business monitoring specialist at the Volvo Monitoring and Concept Center. He was a sales and forecasting specialist.

    Lisa Young and Joakim Johncke to the 1999 Volvo Global Management Development Program. Young is an aftermarket pricing specialist; Johncke is a product support specialist for Volvo's Northeast region.

    Suppliers

    NAVIGATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP. - George Conte to director of marketing communications. He was director of worldwide Olympic marketing for IBM Corp.

    Navigation Technologies, of Rosemont, Ill., supplies route-guidance map databases used for in-vehicle navigation devices in North America and Europe.

    GKN SINTER METALS INC. - Donald Spence Jr. to vice president of sales and marketing. He was president of medical equipment company Ohmeda Inc.

    Robert Stocki to director of Ford Motor Co. global sales. He was North American Ford sales manager for ITT Automotive Inc.

    Thomas Walbridge to director of DaimlerChrysler Corp. global sales. He was Chrysler Corp. electrical accounts sales manager for ITT Automotive Inc.

    Thomas Hogan to divisional financial controller. He was director of finance for Oxford Automotive Inc.

    Marten Svensson to Nordic region sales manager. He was European business manager for Dutch plastics supplier Wavin Co.

    GKN Sinter Metals, of Auburn Hills, Mich., supplies powder-metal parts. It is a subsidiary of GKN PLC of the United Kingdom.

    DELPHI AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS - The company formed the Delphi Facilities Services Group, which will be responsible for all environmental, facilities, utilities and real estate services worldwide. Related appointments include:

    John Jaffurs to director of environmental services. He was director of General Motors' Worldwide Facilities Group regional environmental support.

    Ron Dunbar to manager of the International Facilities Services Group. He was a program manager representing Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems within the GM Worldwide Facilities Group.

    Jim Flowers to manager for engineering and technical services. He was a program manager responsible for Delphi Interior Systems services within GM's Worldwide Facilities Group.

    Ed O'Neill to manager of real estate services. He was Asia/Pacific region real estate manager for GM and Delphi.

    Cary Schwab to administrative services manager. He was responsible for facilities management business planning functions within the GM Worldwide Facilities Group.

    Delphi Facilities Services Group divisional managers are:

    Kathy Girgen for Delphi Interior Systems. She was manager of facilities for Delco Electronics.

    Chuck Joseph for Delphi Packard Electric Systems. He was the GM Worldwide Facilities program manager for Delphi Packard.

    Paul Luchtefeld for Delphi Delco Electronics. He was a program manager for the GM Worldwide Facilities Services Group.

    Don Poole for Delphi Chassis. He was facilities program manager supporting Delphi Chassis and Delphi Harrison within the GM Worldwide Facilities Group.

    Don Sokol for Delphi Energy and Engine Management Systems. He was the GM Worldwide Facilities program manager for Delphi Energy.

    Bob Walker for Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems. He was manager of HVAC Core Technologies and Controls Engineering for Delphi Harrison.

    Bill Willard for Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems. He was manager of environmental and energy activities for Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems.

    Delphi Automotive Systems of Troy, Mich., supplies automotive component and systems.

    DONNELLY CORP. - Charlie Pear to corporate treasurer. He was the manager of Jeep and Truck pricing for DaimlerChrysler Corp.'s sales and marketing finance department.

    Donnelly is based in Holland, Mich. It supplies mirrors, windows, door handles and interior trim and lighting.

    MERITOR AUTOMOTIVE INC. - Dennis Kline to vice president of North American sales for heavy vehicle systems. He was general manager for OEM sales.

    Kline succeeds James Brown, who will retire Jan. 1, after 28 combined years with Rockwell Automotive and Meritor Automotive.

    Meritor supplies a broad range of components and systems for commercial, specialty and light vehicle OEMs and the aftermarket. It is based in Troy, Mich.

    Other

    SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS - Paul Benedict has been named 1998-99 Society of Automotive Engineers/Engineering Society Washington Fellow. He will work on the Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles program at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Benedict is a quality and reliability supervisor for DaimlerChrysler Corp.'s Jeep and Truck Division.

    The Society of Automotive Engin-eers is an educational and scientific organization dedicated to advancing mobility technology. It is based in Warrendale, Pa.

    AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY ACTION GROUP - Raymond Mitzel to executive director, effective Jan. 1. He was an industry executive on loan to AIAG from DaimlerChrysler Corp. He also served as AIAG executive director in 1996.

    Automotive Industry Action Group is based in Southfield, Mich. It is a not-for-profit trade group of automotive and truck manufacturers and their suppliers.
