DETROIT - The new Original Equipment Suppliers Association has set some early goals and selected an advisory board.
The association was formed last August to give suppliers a tool to address common challenges.
Here are some of the initiatives that were agreed to after the group's initial advisory board meeting on Nov. 30:
Create newsletters, bulletins and other types of communication to make members aware of industry issues.
Sponsor forums to address issues in specific areas, such as human resources or globalization.
Establish a rating system to help members determine the value of industry conferences and other events.
Be a public voice on issues that affect suppliers.
The association's advisory board members are:
