GENERAL MOTORS - Jeffrey Hurlbert has been elected a corporate vice president, effective Jan. 1. He was recently appointed GM Europe vice president of sales, marketing and aftersales, succeeding Mohammed Razaq, who will retire Dec. 31 after 31 years at GM.
MAZDA NORTH AMERICA OPERATIONS - Shari Gold to manager of corporate communications. She was a public relations manager for the Automotive Division of American Suzuki Motor Corp.
JOHNSON CONTROLS INC. - Brian Koop to vice president and senior executive in charge of the Johnson Controls Institute, a new worldwide employee training and leadership development organization for the company's Automotive Systems Group. He was vice president of interiors.
Bruce Los to vice president of human resources for North American operations. He was vice president of human resources for the Holland, Mich.-based interiors group.
Johnson Controls' automotive business is based in Plymouth, Mich. It supplies interior systems and batteries.
ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT SUPPLIERS ASSOCIATION - Noelle Schiffer to director of marketing. She was an account manager for Magna Seating Systems.
The Original Equipment Suppliers Association is a new organization based in Troy, Mich. It is an affiliate of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association of Research Triangle Park, N.C.
AUTOMOTIVE HALL OF FAME - Six new directors will take office Jan. 1.
They are: Terry Bernander, president of AP Automotive Systems, Toledo, Ohio.; Charlie Van Cleve, vice president of sales for Hedman Hedders and Trans-dapt Performance Products in Cerritos, Calif.; Ron Goldsberry, vice president of Global Ford Customer Service Operations for Ford Motor Co.; Mike Jackson, president of Mercedes-Benz of North America Inc.; John MacDonald, vice president of sales and service for DaimlerChrysler Corp.; and Larry Yost, chairman of Meritor Automotive Inc. in Troy, Mich.
