DETROIT - Henry Drettmann, 93, founder of Active Tool and Manufacturing in Roseville, Mich., died in Grosse Pointe, Mich., Nov. 17. He started the company in 1929 in Detroit and moved it to Roseville in 1990. Active Tool and Manufacturing is an automotive stamping company that makes items such as fenders, hoods and panels.
PONTIAC, Mich. - Oscar Lundin, 88, former vice chairman of General Motors, died Nov. 19. He joined Chevrolet's accounting department in 1932, moved to the GM financial staff in 1938 and later worked for Allison Division. He became treasurer of GM in 1960, president of General Motors Acceptance Corp. in 1966 and vice president of the GM financial staff two years later. Lundin was promoted to executive vice president in 1968 and to vice chairman in 1974. He retired in 1975.
