TOKYO - Mitsubishi Motors Corp.'s Toppo BJ Marble minicar was designed in large part by women who had mothers of infants in mind.
Among the parent-friendly features designed into the car are a bungee cord for holding a stroller upright behind the rear seat; an extra mirror placed so the driver can keep an eye on the baby seat in the back seat; and window curtains with a teddy bear motif.
That design is continued on the removable seat covers, which are made of flame-retarding, antibacterial, odor-control cloth. A second waterproof seat cover is handy for changing diapers.
That isn't all. The door-open warning buzzer does not buzz, it plays 'Mary Had a Little Lamb.'
