MARYSVILLE, Ohio - Here's some information given to Honda of America Manufacturing Inc. suppliers at its annual supplier conference this month:
Number of vehicles built this year will increase by 36,000, or 4.5 percent.
Number of engines built this year will increase by 95,000, or 12.2 percent.
1998 vehicle launch: a new minivan in Alliston, Ontario.
1998 vehicle launch: the Acura TL in Marysville, Ohio.
First year of full production for Honda do Brazil (supported by North American suppliers).
All Honda of America plants to receive ISO-14001 environmental certification by year end; suppliers asked to 'become familiar' with ISO-14001 standards.
