LOANS ONLINE COULD EXPLODE - About 40 percent of auto loans will originate on the Internet by 2005. That is the prediction of a study by Killen and Asso-ciates, a Palo Alto, Calif., research firm. Traditional paper loans represent 99 percent of transactions today, but the study claims a major shift is under way because consumers have easier access to the Internet.
