Estimated North America car and truck production last week rose 8.5 percent over the prior week's build. It fell 10.1 percent from the same week one year ago.
So far this year, 8,766,378 cars and trucks have been assembled in the United States, Canada and Mexico, inching ahead of 1996 by 48,782 units.
