David Krysiek, 38, Saab Cars USA Inc.'s marketing director, has resigned.
He was named to the post three years ago, and he implemented Saab's animated 'Find Your Own Road' campaign in 1995. The theme permeated Saab, from national advertising to its Monroney labels, but the campaign is on its way out.
Krysiek was a member of the review team that took the $55 million account from Angotti, Thomas, Hedge Inc. in New York in March and gave it to Martin Agency of Richmond, Va. A new campaign that begins this fall will be more product-oriented.
Krysiek's responsibilities have been divided between John Orth, vice president of sales and retail network development, and Joel Manby, president and CEO.
Sean McNamara, product marketing manager, now reports to Manby. Reporting to Orth are Kristi August Smith, newly appointed national advertising manager, and Chuck Mayer, promotional marketing manager.
Krysiek, Orth and Manby are all Saturn Corp. alumni. General Motors owns 50 percent of Saab Automobiles AB, parent of Saab Cars USA.
