Ford plans to revamp its Windstar minivan for the 2000 model year. Photos snapped during hot-weather testing show that the front end will be revamped extensively, resulting in a larger grille area for better engine cooling. Ford also is adding a sliding door on the driver's side. Ford is incorporating the support track for the sliding door in the base of the side window, a styling trick used on Chrysler Corp. minivans.
