Automotive News will produce NADA-TV, the official convention television at the 1998 National Automobile Dealers Association convention in New Orleans Jan. 31-Feb. 3, 1998.
Automotive News also produced the 1997 NADA-TV, which aired at the NADA convention in Atlanta, as well as on ASTN, AucNet, VisionWerk-The BMW Network and FORDSTAR networks.
'I am pleased that Automotive News will once again be producing NADA-TV, the official convention broadcast,' said Frank McCarthy, executive vice president of NADA. 'Our 1997 viewers rated NADA-TV highly and we're looking forward to an even better show in 1998!'
NADA-TV for 1998 will again consist of four daily programs. Each program will air continuously for 24 hours in the convention center, on the exposition floor and at hotels in New Orleans. The programming also will be available on satellite dealer networks.
Programming will include a special half-hour 'Welcome to NADA' edition on Friday, plus three daily, hour-long programs that run Saturday, Sunday and Monday with interviews, news and features from the convention and exposition.
Veteran TV producer Jeff Reisman will return as executive producer, and Edward Lapham, executive editor of Automotive News, will again be executive editor of NADA-TV.
