The Central Arkansas Toyota Dealers Association donated $20,500 to help victims of a March 1 tornado in College Station, Ark., near Little Rock. The dealers raised the money by donating $50 per Toyota vehicle sold during March. The donation was made to Watershed Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides emergency services to needy Arkansas residents. Contributing dealers were Pine Bluff Toyota in Pine Bluff, Jones Toyota in Little Rock, Phil Wright Toyota in Russellville, Prestige Toyota in North Little Rock, Conway Toyota in Conway, Capps Toyota in Searcy and Lindell Trimble Toyota in Hot Springs.
Nissan dealerships in five states have donated $9,500 to the Louisville, Ky., area chapter of the American Red Cross to help victims of spring flooding. Fifteen dealerships in Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Tennessee and Illinois donated $50 for each vehicle sold during 10 days in late March.
