French investigators have referred Fiat Chrysler for possible prosecution after alleging some of the automaker's diesels produce NOx emissions that are several times higher than regulatory limits. FCA is the the third manufacturer after VW Group and Renault to be referred to French prosecutors.

Jeep reported its first monthly sales decline since September 2013 Monday, pushing Fiat Chrysler's U.S. sales down 0.9 percent in September.
