Daimler to invest $755 million in China EV, battery output

Daimler will invest 5 billion yuan ($755 million) in China for factory capacity to manufacture EVs and their batteries, Hubertus Troska, the automaker's China boss, said. The move is part of an effort by the company to help its Mercedes and Smart brands comply with upcoming quotas for greener vehicles.
