Daimler cuts 2018 profit outlook as tariffs strike U.S.-made SUVs

Daimler said profit would fall in 2018 as new import tariffs on light vehicles exported from the United States to China would hurt sales of high-margin Mercedes-Benz SUVs.


Subaru shuffles CEO amid more fuel data tampering

Subaru named a new CEO, Tomomi Nakamura, after disclosing inspectors found the company altered fuel economy and emissions data on more vehicles built and sold in Japan. Yasuyuki Yoshinaga is stepping down as president and CEO, and will become chairman to focus on the misconduct.
