2018 Moab Easter Jeep safariMarch 22
For 52 years now, Jeeps have been taking over Moab, Utah, for the Easter Jeep Safari. Jeep hasn’t been building concepts for the Safari for quite that long, but the release of a new crop of modified trucks has become a tradition in its own right. It’s a chance for Jeep designers to cut loose and for Mopar to show off the latest accessories that can be bolted on to Jeeps. Unlike ostentatious auto show concepts, these things are all at least theoretically usable in the real world. -- Autoweek

Chevrolet Silverado medium-dutyMarch 7
General Motors' new Chevrolet Silverado medium-duty trucks are not variants of existing models, the automaker says. The trucks were built from the ground up to cater to the needs of fleet and commercial buyers. They can be fitted with work-specific beds and boxes for work such as landscaping, emergency services, refrigeration and towing. Medium-duty trucks range from Class 4 through Class 6, based on gross vehicle weight ratings, which is the maximum operating weight/mass of a vehicle. The new Silverado has a maximum weight of 22,500 pounds, which reaches into the middle of the Class 6 trucks.
