First shown earlier this year, the Volkswagen I.D. Buzz Cargo concept was customized to be a support vehicle for the automaker's I.D. R race car that ran at Pikes Peak earlier this year. VW says the concept has a 150 kWh electric motor, a single speed transmission and rear-wheel-drive. Inside, the interior has been designed for commerical use with a driver's seat and a double-bench seat on the front passenger side. VW said the vehicle could be launched as production vehicle in 2022.

The lightweight construction, new suspension and aerodynamic fine-tuning result in greater downforce. Lightweight-design wheels also improve driving dynamics and faster lap times on the racetrack.

The redesigned Mazda3 pushes into premium territory with an optional 1.8-liter diesel engine and a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-X engine. The 2.0-liter is the first production engine for the North American market to employ spark-controlled compression ignition, which means that it combines gasoline and diesel combustion traits.

Rivian Automotive's R1S, an electric SUV, doesn't stray too far from the startup's R1T pickup. It will ride on the same skateboard platform and will be powered by the same quad-motor system found in the R1T, which sends 147 kW and torque control to each wheel. Rivian's plans call for the R1S to receive the same battery options as its pickup sibling, however, in the case of the R1S, the battery determines how many seats the vehicle has, which will either be five or seven seats. Rivian said R1S deliveries are set to begin in 2021.

Bentley's redesigned Continental GT convertible closely follows the redesign of the Continental GT coupe from last year. The convertible will be powered by a 6.0-liter turbocharged W-12, the same engine found in the coupe, which has 626 hp and 664 pound-feet of torque. It's paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. The roof can retract in 19 seconds and it also can be customized with customers getting seven roof colors to choose from.

Rivian Automotive's first vehicle is the R1T electric pickup. The startup company said the R1T will be powered by a quad-motor system which sends 147 kW and torque control to each wheel.The pickup will offer three battery options: 135 kWh or 180 kWh at launch, with a 105 kWh option arriving 12 months after launch. Rivian said pricing for the base model will begin at $61,500 after the federal tax credit for electric vehicles. The company is taking refundable $1,000 deposits and said it expects to begin deliveries in late 2020.

The 2019 Crosstrek Hybrid gets exterior and interior design flourishes to distinguish it from its gasoline-powered stablemate. The all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid will also be the nameplate's most powerful and fuel-efficient variant, Subaru says. The drivetrain pairs a 2.0-liter direct-injection boxer engine and new continuously variable transmission with two electric motors and a lithium ion battery. The 148-hp setup achieves an electric-only driving range of 17 miles and speeds up to 65 mph in full electric mode.
