The re-engineered and restyled CR-V crossover, which will ride on a modular platform shared with the Civic and Accord, will debut as a 2018 model. It is expected to grow in size and borrow styling cues from the HR-V and latest Pilot. A 1.5-liter turbo will be the only engine offered until Honda adds a hybrid iteration in 2018 or 2019. Honda will likely squeeze a third row of seats into models sold outside of North America.

The sportier Honda Civic Si will incorporate the 1.5-liter turbo engine that's already available in the lineup but will boast more power. The Si will go on sale in 2017 and likely give another boost to the Civic franchise that has enjoyed robust U.S. sales in 2016 following a major redesign and re-engineering. Inside, the Si will sport carbon fiber trim and racing-style seats. A six speed manual transmission will be standard, although it's unclear if 2017 will be the year the Si is offered with an optional automatic.

Spy photos suggest Buick's biggest crossover, the Enclave, a mainstay for the brand since GM's 2009 bankruptcy, will become more athletic with a sharper exterior redesign planned for 2018. It will arrive in mid-2017 as a 2018 model on a new, lighter platform. GM's new 3.6-liter V-6 engine should be the base engine, combined with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
