Mercedes-Benz's first pickup, expected to be called the X class, underwent road tests near the Arctic Circle. The pickup will share its architecture with the Nissan NP300/Frontier and Renault Alaskan but will use Mercedes styling cues such as a wide grille, swept-back headlights and curvy front fenders.

Spy photos of what appear to be Ford Motor Co.’s U.S.-bound Ranger compact pickup have been spotted testing on roads in Dearborn, Mich. The heavily camouflaged small truck looks similar to the Ranger currently offered in a number of global markets, including Australia.
