GM's operating profit sinks 27% in Q1 on lower pickup production; net falls 59%

General Motors' net income and operating profit significantly fell in the first quarter due to planned downtime in its full-size pickup production, a restructuring in Korea and other costs. GM's earnings before interest and taxes declined 27 percent.

Fiat Chrysler Q1 adjusted earnings rises 5% to $1.96 billion

Fiat Chrysler said first-quarter adjusted earnings rose 5 percent to 1.61 billion euros ($1.96 billion) with positive results in Europe and North America offsetting lower earnings in North America.
