Fiat Chrysler promotes Gilles to global design boss

Fiat Chrysler promoted Ralph Gilles, its chief designer in the U.S., to global head of design. Gilles succeeds Lorenzo Ramaciotti, who is retiring. Ramaciotti will continue to lend his expertise to the group, serving as a special adviser to CEO Sergio Marchionne, the automaker said.
